Cleared for Takeoff: JetStream Raises $34M to Make AI Governable
Today marks a milestone we’re incredibly proud to share. JetStream Security has raised $34 million in seed funding to solve one of the most critical challenges facing enterprises right now: how to trust the AI systems you’re racing to deploy.
We’re grateful to Redpoint Ventures for leading this round, and to the CrowdStrike Falcon Fund and angels George Kurtz (CrowdStrike), Assaf Rappaport (Wiz), and Frederic Kerrest (Okta) for believing in what we’re building. Their support (and the candid conversations we had with enterprises throughout this process) reinforced something we already knew: AI governance has become one of the most pressing priorities for enterprises today.
The Problem:
AI is Moving Faster Than Trust
Here’s what we keep hearing from CIOs, CISOs, AI leaders, and CEOs: “We’re deploying AI agents, copilots, and custom models faster than we can understand them. We can’t answer basic questions like what data is being accessed, how these systems behave, who’s accountable when something goes wrong, or what they actually cost.” Picture what that looks like in practice: an AI agent that’s been quietly accessing customer data outside its intended scope for weeks, with no audit trail, no owner, and no way to explain it to the board when someone finally asks.
More than 80% of CEOs are optimistic about AI’s ROI, yet only 25% of organizations have successfully moved the majority of their AI experiments into production. The gap between ambition and execution isn’t a technology problem. It’s a governance problem. That’s a trust deficit that’s holding back billions of dollars in potential innovation — and every quarter it goes unsolved, competitors who closed that gap first don’t wait.
We founded JetStream because we’ve seen this movie before. Our team built platforms at CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Cohesity, Dazz, and other industry leaders, companies that defined how enterprises think about security through every major technology shift. And we knew: when AI scales faster than governance, risk becomes the adoption constraint. What we’re missing is governance-grade trust.

Our Solution:
Opening the Black Box with AI Blueprints™
At the core of our platform are JetStream AI Blueprints™: dynamic, system-generated graphs that show how AI operates in your environment at any moment. Each Blueprint maps the relationships among agents, the models they use, the data they access, the tools they call, and the identities and token access keys behind every action, whether human, agentic, or non-human.
Unlike static architecture diagrams that go stale the moment you draw them, Blueprints track real runtime behavior. They flag deviations from authorized purposes and update through authorization workflows as your systems evolve. They also track costs, showing you exactly what every agent run costs and who’s responsible for that spend.
In short, a Blueprint is the operational contract for an AI workflow. It makes behavior and cost visible, attributable, and governable. It’s the single source of truth that transforms operational complexity into a clear, governed picture of your entire AI ecosystem.
Why This Team, Why Now
Our founding team: Raj Rajamani (CEO), Jared Phipps (COO), Jatheen Anand (CTO), and Venu Vissamsetty (Chief Architect), have been through the wars. We’ve led product, engineering, and go-to-market at some of the most influential security companies of the last decade. We’ve built platforms that protect the world’s largest enterprises, scaled organizations through hypergrowth, and navigated the security challenges that emerge with every new computing paradigm.
What makes this team different? We’ve been in the room when CISOs kill pilot programs because they can’t answer the board’s questions about AI risk. We’ve watched the engineers and security teams who built those agents — who knew they worked — have to stand down anyway, because the governance layer didn’t exist to prove it. We’ve watched companies sit on game-changing AI agents they simply can’t deploy because they have no way to verify them, govern them, or stand behind them. We know that without governance-grade visibility and control, AI stays locked in the lab, and that’s leaving massive value on the table.
What’s Next:
From Pilots to Production at Scale
We’re already working with Fortune 500 organizations who are seeing what’s possible when you can finally answer the question: “Can I trust this AI system enough to put it into production?”
The pace of change is extraordinary. A year ago, we were meeting customers who were just starting to piece together the problem they faced. Now, when we meet them, they’ve done their research and know we’ve already built exactly what they need. Without trust, companies can’t move forward. Companies are sitting on game-changing AI agents they already built but can’t deploy. Once that changes, the growth is unstoppable — and that’s exactly what we’re here to make possible.
With this funding, we’re expanding rapidly across engineering, product, and go-to-market. We’re building the team that will define what AI governance looks like for the next decade, and we’re doing it with a sense of urgency that matches what we’re hearing from the market.
The JetStream Promise:
Governance → Trust → Advantage
Our mission is simple: accelerate enterprise AI adoption by delivering the governance and control layer that turns AI from a hidden liability into a strategic asset.
Here’s our belief: AI is ready for takeoff. The technology is there. The use cases are compelling. The ROI is real. What’s missing is trust, and trust requires governance. Governance enables trust. Trust unlocks advantage.
As our CEO Raj Rajamani says: “Leaders are being asked to bet their businesses and careers on systems they can’t fully see, explain, or control. That’s where trust breaks down. With AI Blueprints and our identity and keying and AI StreamContext™ technology, we give teams a clear, practical way to understand what their AI is doing, manage risk in real time, and move from experimentation to production with confidence. Our goal is simple: help companies scale AI responsibly, without slowing innovation.”
To everyone who believed in this vision from day one, our investors, our early customers, our team – thank you. This is just the beginning. AI governance isn’t about putting up roadblocks. It’s about clearing the runway so enterprises can finally take off.
